What others wonder before booking Muse Weddings...

I've secured a lot of the vendors already. Can we still work together?
 

  • Yes! Of course, we can! I would love that! I offer Wedding Management services to give couples extra guidance along the way. Learn more about that here.

Why should I hire a planner?

  • A wedding planner is an investment to save you time, stress and even money throughout your wedding planning experience. A wedding planner is there to take the pressure away and manage all of the wedding details on your behalf, so you can relax and actually enjoy your engagement. 

What's a discovery call? 

  • A discovery call gives you and I chance to talk over your wedding vision, any struggles you may be facing, and how I can help. Doing this will help you decide if you want to make the decision to invest in yourself and secure your date. 

What happens after I contact you?

  • After you fill out our contact form. You'll get an email from me with a little more information and a link to schedule a discovery call with me! 

Do you travel?

  • Yes! I love to travel and will take on a wedding wherever your love resides. 

  • NOTICE: During 2021 through Spring of 2022, we are not taking any weddings outside of the state of Michigan! 

How often will we talk?

  • This is dependent on your package choice and your personal preference. We will meet at least once a month leading up to your event but, it can be more often. 

You're over my budget but, I still want to work with you! Help?! 

  • One of the first things I do for my full-service clients is draft a realistic budget. It accounts for your priorities and your vision for the day. I present you with pricing options so you have control over your spending. This prevents anxiety about surprise costs and gives you more control of your budget. A wedding planner is an investment in you and your wedding. A majority of vendors are with you on your day and your day only. I support you for the duration of the planning process AND at the wedding and often even after. You are paying for expertise to manage a complex team of vendors with intricate nuances. My couples want their wedding to be a time of joy and celebration for them and their guests. They want to experience the day calm and focused on their family, not distracted and tense. I help them achieve that.

Will I still have some control over my wedding if I hire you as a planner?

  • 100%! You are the muse of your wedding event! With most of our packages, you can be as involved in the process as you like. We offer three different packages to fit the needs of each couple. We will always stay in touch; asking you questions or offering suggestions and you always get the final say before anything is locked in. 

What time will you arrive on-site for my wedding day?

  • I block off three days on my calendar for your wedding. The day before, the day of and the morning after. I arrive on-site depending on a few different factors, but it all depends on your timeline and when your hair + makeup is starting. When it comes to your wedding day, if you're up, I'm up! 

Are you hiring or do you have an intern program? 

  • If you are interested in working with me, please submit your resume with a cover letter to planner@muse-weddings.com The company's needs are always changing and I love mentoring future wedding pros!

Will you negotiate with vendors on my behalf?

  • If at anytime I feel that you are not getting a fair price or aren't being respected,  I will always advocate for your budget and your wedding to the best of my ability. In the same sense, I do respect the pricing that small businesses have set forth just as I want my pricing to be respected. If there is a vendor that we really want to work with but they aren't in your budget we either reevaluate our spending or come to grips that we have to pick someone else in budget. 

How much will this cost?

  • That depends on the package you choose and a handful of other variables. Each of our packages are designed for each individual event. Take a look at the service page to see the starting cost. To get a personal quote, schedule a discovery call with me! 

What is your payment policy?

  • Payment arrangements can be made depending on each specific person's situation. Typically, I require a 50% non-refundable deposit, with the remaining balance broken down into two payments. One is due midway through the project, the second is due no less than two (2) weeks prior to your wedding date. 

Will you recommend vendors/trades, or do I need to have my own?

  • Yes! We have an ever-growing list of preferred vendors that we LOVE to work with! Under our management package that gets sent right away, with our full service clients we handle the vendor booking process for you. So, you likely won't need it! 

Who will be my designer/planner?

  • Tascha will be your planner throughout the process. On your wedding day there will be 1-3 other staff members to support Tascha. Want to learn more about your planner? Click here

What if I don’t like the design?

  • During our welcome or introduction phase; I will ask you 101 questions to really dive into what you want and what your day should look like. Based on that information, I present you with a comprehensive design. We host a meeting shortly after you receive it to discuss what you do and don't like about it. On average, I have to adjust the design only once (if that) to get to what you want.

Will you have other weddings on my wedding day?

  • No. Never. When you book your date, I block off the day before, the day of and the day after specifically for you. I only take on one wedding per week/weekend. You will have my full attention. 

What if there is an emergency on my wedding day?

  • That is why you hired me! I am there along with my staff fully prepared for whatever emergency might come our way. I am CPR/AED/First Aid certified through the American Red Cross Organization 

What if I’m out of state?

  • If you are currently residing out of state, but your wedding is in Michigan, that's okay! We can do virtual meetings, however, I am not taking on any out of state weddings through Spring of 2022. 

What if the venue has a planner/coordinator? 

  • In reality, the venue has at least 1 wedding every weekend. They don’t have the time to devote to your wedding and your details like a professional planner does. Nor are they supposed to. The venue coordinator represents the venue. I represent you. If something goes wrong at the venue, I make sure they provide a fair resolution to the situation. If you don’t have a planner, you are at the mercy of the venue.
